The SHS Tullamore Safer Internet Day Committee is a peer-to-peer training programme that gives students the opportunity to lead a Safer Internet Day (SID) campaign in the school. The programme is open to all 2nd-year students. The theme of the programme changes every year and follows the direction of the Safer Internet Day theme organised by Webwise nationwide. Past student-led campaigns have raised awareness about privacy settings, anti-bullying, the importance of passwords, and social media usage, among other important topics for young people in today’s world.
