The SHS Microsoft Dream Space Ambassadors is a student leadership and training programme aimed at Transition Year students who have a passion for learning and a willingness to support and mentor other students and teachers.
As part of the programme, students participated in workshops and webinars provided by teachers at DreamSpace in Microsoft Ireland on various topics, such as Minecraft Education, Digital Citizenship, MakeCode Arcade, Coding using Phyton, and MakeCode Micro:bit.
In previous years, the SHS Dream Space Ambassadors planned and delivered workshops for First Years, teaching them about coding, physical computing, and online safety. During these workshops, First Year students coded name tags and a step tracker using Micro:bit, applied their knowledge of online safety to navigate a world in Minecraft, and designed and created their own games, among other activities.
